Open Staff Positions


Synapse is currently seeking qualified, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individuals for a variety of positions. Open positions include:

Electricity Markets Specialist: Synapse is seeking an analyst with experience and interest in wholesale electricity markets. The specialist would be expected to assist with all aspects of Synapse projects covering wholesale electric markets, including attending relevant regional meetings, especially ISO-NE meetings; reviewing proposals from stakeholders; reviewing FERC orders and materials; negotiating positions with other stakeholders; and generally supporting Synapse work in these areas.... Energy/Environment Modeling Specialist: Synapse is seeking a modeling specialist to design and implement complex analytical projects in the electric energy and environmental fields using both proprietary software packages and in-house analytical tools.... [ Read More ]

Energy Engineer: Synapse is seeking an energy engineer to assist in the analysis of utility resources, generating unit retrofit plans, and the planning and execution of major utility capital projects, among other topics..... [ Read More ]

Synapse is also accepting resumes and letters of interest from experienced electricity market analysts, research staff, and interns. Candidates for research and consulting positions will have backgrounds in economics, engineering, law, or another related discipline. Strong quantitative and communications skills are essential.
