Jennifer Kallay
Ms. Kallay is an associate at Synapse Energy Economics where she analyzes the
benefits and costs of electric and natural gas energy efficiency measures and
programs. Her work entails reviewing different regulatory approaches to renewable
energy and energy efficiency, evaluating integrated resource plans and applications
for new coal and nuclear plants, and assessing the ability of utility energy
efficiency plans to tap into economic potential in different states.
Prior to joining Synapse, Ms. Kallay was a graduate student in Boston University’s
Energy and Environmental Analysis program, where she focused on energy and environmental
resources and policy, climate change, environmental economics, statistics, risk
assessment and geographic information systems. She received her MA from the
program in January 2007.
Before pursuing her graduate degree, Ms. Kallay worked for six years at Digitas,
Inc. There, she developed and conducted quantitative analyses of marketing program
performance to guide strategy. Ms. Kallay holds a BA in Journalism from the
University of Maryland.
