> Erin Malone Erin Malone Erin Malone is a research associate at Synapse, with a special focus on assessing energy efficiency policy and program design and implementation. Prior to joining Synapse, she served as an economist in the Electric Power Division at the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities (DPU), specializing in the review of electric utilities' energy efficiency activities. In this position she helped to establish efficiency policy by recommending decisions to the Commission on issues related to cost-effectiveness, cost-recovery, and utility performance incentives. Ms. Malone's work at the DPU included: analyzing program implementation and evaluation studies as part of the approval process for the Massachusetts utilities' three-year efficiency plans; creating a model to analyze all impacts of energy efficiency on consumers' rates and bills; leading stakeholder working groups; and investigating energy efficiency as a central component in utility integrated resource planning. She also worked directly with utility customers to answer questions and gather information on competitive supply and efficiency programs in Massachusetts. Ms. Malone holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Boston College,
and is accredited as a LEED Green Associate. |
