Amy Roschelle

Amy Roschelle is a Business Consultant at Synapse Energy Economics. Ms. Roschelle’s role involves analyzing real world strategic plans that impact the energy industry, including fuel diversity, financial risks and hedging, environmental impacts, energy efficiency, and renewable technologies. She has testified as an expert witness in California, Vermont, and Texas on financial issues and resource planning in an effort to protect consumers from rate increases and protect the environment.

In her current project work, Ms. Roschelle focuses on portfolio management strategies for retail energy markets. She has made recommendations to clients in Maine, Ohio, Massachusetts, Delaware, California, New Jersey, and Illinois regarding the changing face of the electricity marketplace and strategies to be used to manage future energy and environmental regulation price risks. In addition, Ms. Roschelle has recently spent a significant amount of time exploring alternatives/complements to the Southern California Edison’s Mohave Generating Station, which involves understanding issues such as federal financial incentives for alternative technologies, carbon sequestration, emissions costs, regional potential for demand side management, and tribal issues.

Amy Roschelle holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management. She also holds bachelors and masters degrees in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and UCLA, respectively. Former energy and environmental related work includes projects at Mobil Solar Energy Corporation, Siemens Power Generation Division, The National Park Service, and GreenFuel Technologies Corporation.
