Allison Smith
Allison Smith is a Research Associate with Synapse Energy Economics, where she
investigates electricity market price trends and fluctuations and analyzes the
economic and environmental implications of renewable portfolio standards and
clean energy policy scenarios. In particular, Ms. Smith participates in NEPOOL
Participant, Markets, and Reliability committee meetings where she represents
the interests of consumer advocate, environmental, and renewable resource clients.
She has also recently worked on projects involving transmission planning, utility
efficiency programs, and PJM's proposed reliability pricing model for a new
capacity market structure.
Ms. Smith holds a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from the Vermont Law
School and a BA in Environmental Studies from Dartmouth College.
