Mr. Sinclair joined Synapse in 2020 as a Research Associate. His work at Synapse focuses on equity, energy efficiency, and macroeconomic impact modeling. His published work includes reports analyzing low-income energy efficiency in Mississippi, grid security in Minnesota, and equity in Kansas. He has also conducted both national- and state-level macroeconomic analyses on projects involving building decarbonization, renewable energy development, and transportation electrification. Mr. Sinclair is particularly interested in developing policies to support an equitable, just transition.
Mr. Sinclair has developed modeling expertise to support his work. He has experience conducting geospatial mapping with ArcGIS, macroeconomic impact analyses with IMPLAN, and electric sector modeling with Encompass. He also builds custom Excel models to improve decision-making in the energy sector.
Mr. Sinclair’s previous work includes implementing Massachusetts’ building stretch code at A9 Green and developing sustainable careers for underserved communities at BW Research Partners. He holds a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Economics with a minor in Social Justice and Social Policy from Brandeis University.
