Olivia Griot conducts economic, environmental, and policy analysis on topics related to decarbonization, electricity rate design, electric vehicles, and climate change. She has expertise in economic impact analysis, data analysis and visualization, geospatial analysis, ecosystem service valuation, and environmental justice analysis.
Prior to joining Synapse, Ms. Griot worked as a consultant at Abt Associates in the Division of Health and Environment. At Abt, she consulted for a variety of clients within the federal government, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, as well as various state, local, and tribal clients. Her work focused on economic analysis of diverse environmental topics, including climate change, public health, environmental justice, water resources, coastal zones, air quality, and ecosystem services. She supported tool development, data visualization, and geospatial analysis for several EPA tools and programs, including the Watershed Management Optimization Tool (WMOST) and the Greenhouse Gas Reporting Program (GHGRP).
Ms. Griot holds a Master of Science in Environmental Science and Policy from Northeastern University, where she studied geospatial analysis, ecological economics, computational statistics, data visualization, life cycle assessment, and environmental policy. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Boston College.
