Energy Savings and Impacts Scenario Tool (ESIST)
The Energy Savings and Impacts Scenario Tool (ESIST) is an open-access tool built for the EPA by Synapse to estimate annual impacts related to energy efficiency programs. ESIST users can select a study area based on states, utility types, specific utilities, or different customer sectors (such as residential, commercial, or industrial). Users may edit input assumptions, including electricity sales projections, goals for energy efficiency savings or budgets, and first-year costs of energy efficiency. ESIST allows users to compare resulting quantities of savings, costs, and levelized costs of saved energy. Users can also review or estimate multiple benefits resulting from the scenario parameters, including avoided emissions, public health benefits, and energy burden reductions.
