Synapse assisted Sierra Club and its joint filers with an affidavit opposing DTE Electric’s request for ex parte approval to serve a large new data center customer. The affidavit recommended that the Michigan Public Service Commission open a contested case to allow for proper evaluation of whether the proposed contracts would likely increase the Company’s cost of service or rates for existing customers. The Commission ultimately approved DTE’s ex parte request.
