Synapse worked for the Massachusetts Grid Modernization Council (GMAC) to provide technical support in reviewing and providing recommendations on the electric utilities' grid modernization plans. The GMAC is directed by the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources, and includes 15 members representing a variety of stakeholder perspectives. Synapse provides technical support on a variety issues including distributed energy resources, forecasts of peak demand, non-wires alternatives, virtual power plants, grid modernization technologies, equity issues, cost recovery of investments, cost-benefit analysis, and more.
