Jack Green joined Synapse in 2026 as a Research Associate II. He conducts quantitative and qualitative research and analysis on energy-sector issues including electric and gas utility resource planning, non-wires and non-pipes alternatives, energy efficiency, demand response, and decarbonization policies.

Prior to joining Synapse, Jack completed a year-and-a-half appointment as a DOE Energy Innovator Fellow at the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources. There, he authored two legislative reports on statewide building benchmarking and performance standards, completed a technical report on grocery-store refrigeration demand response, designed Rhode Island's Energy Storage Rebate Program, enhanced RI's ratepayer efficiency program with a new heat-pump measure for window-AC replacements, and researched winter-peak impacts of heating electrification.

Mr. Green graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 2024 with a B.A. in Public Policy and minors in Environmental Studies, Architecture, and Urban Studies.
