Synapse provided independent expert testimony to the Nova Scotia Energy Board evaluating Nova Scotia Power’s 2024 Annual Report for the Commercial Net Metering Program. On behalf of Board Counsel, the analysis assessed the utility’s compliance with service standards for executing participant agreements and reviewed updates to its hosting capacity analysis. The testimony evaluated proposed modifications to service timelines, identified opportunities to improve tracking and transparency around delays, and reviewed enhancements to hosting capacity methodologies and reporting. The work supported regulatory oversight of interconnection processes and transparency for distributed generation customers. Project completed in 2025.
