BA in Environmental Geography, Colgate University
Sophie Schadler joined Synapse in September 2023. She conducts research and provides consulting on projects related to electric vehicles, building decarbonization, and renewable energy.
Prior to joining Synapse, she worked as a student researcher for the Department of Geography at Colgate University. She helped produce the first GIS map of Colgate’s landholdings. Her other GIS experience includes mapping Chicago public housing to assist her professor in their research on police corruption. For her senior capstone she helped conduct a community-based study in the Village of Hamilton on replacing fossil fuels with electricity to meet the state’s 2050 emissions reduction goal. She also invested much of her time as a leader in outdoor education.
Ms. Schadler holds a BA in Environmental Geography from Colgate University.
