Susan Muller is an expert in wholesale markets and grid reliability impacts. Before joining Synapse, Susan previously worked at Union of Concerned Scientists where she focused on the organization's engagement on ISO New England market issues through the NEPOOL stakeholder process, briefed state and federal policymakers on wholesale market and grid reliability impacts of alternative policy choices, and filed comments in FERC proceedings relating to federal policies, ISO New England market issues, and regional resource adequacy. Susan also worked at Wheelhouse Wind Consulting, where she evaluated the ratepayer benefits of accelerating the integration of offshore wind in New England. Prior to Wheelhouse, Susan worked at Boreas Renewables where she advocated for fair treatment of renewable energy resources in ISO New England on behalf of renewable energy clients, including proposing tariff amendments and achieving market rule changes. Susan Muller holds a Juris Doctor, from the University of Michigan and a BA on Political Science from Princeton University.
