Synapse reviewed Nova Scotia Power’s Capital Cost Application for a 150 MW, 600 MWh battery energy storage system project (across three sites, at 50 MW / 200 MWh each). Synapse provided expert witness testimony before the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board on the issues, recommending approval of the project. The project furthered the integration of renewable resources in Nova Scotia, supporting the goal of 80% renewable electricity supply by 2030, as outlined in Nova Scotia’s 2030 Clean Power Plan and provided for in NS Power’s recent IRP results.
